Sanae_K (Sanae Kochiya Arranged) by Kohaku

This is Sanae Kochiya from the Touhou games (most notably her UNL counterpart). She is not accurate to any of the source games and instead focuses on melee attacks rather than relying on projectile spam.

*Can only be done if you have selected "Shield" during the defense selection menu at the start of the match.

Defense System:
Sanae features a defense selection system and as the name implies you are able to select from 3 (for now) types of defensive abilities you can use before the beginning of the first round from Ex-Shielding to even parrying.

- Ex-Shielding: Melty Blood style of parrying. Time it at the right time to parry an attack. You can also hold down the shield button to use a continuous shield, however doing so will drain power rapidly and the effects of the shield won't be as effective if just Shielded at the right moment (Ex-Shield).

- Parry: Press forward at the right time before an incoming attack from your opponent connects to parry an attack SF3 style.

- Just Defense: Press back at the right time before an incoming attack from your opponent to slightly parry the attack (though no freeze time will occur) and restore a tiny portion of your lifebar.

Striker system:
Strikers can be turned on or off with the special text file. To turn off the strikers, open the option.txt file and set var 33 to 1

Please note that regardless if you turned off the strikers or not, the player and AI will still have access to the striker's supers (Heaven's Wind and Godhand)

12-25-09: Sanae released

12-26-09: Changed up the sprites, effect, and tweaked Godhand, fixed a bug in the Kanako striker, slight fix to the dash, reduced the priority in some of the basics, increased the distance at which the waves in Splitting sea spawned

1-24-10: Made it easier to get a higher grade in technique,added on-screen gauges that monitor the strikers, fixed the lines of 9 Syllable stabs so they now travel across the screen as opposed to just instantly appearing, 2 new special moves implemented: Revitalizing Wind and Fortune Slip Bomb, overdrive implemented: Miracle, Goddess Shield now encases Sanae within the bubble and protects her from all attacks for a very short amount of time, revered Pillars now drop down 6 pillars (3 on each side), increased the cool down time of using the strikers again after using Goddess Shield and Revered Pillars, shortened the hit boxes of the crouching light attack, decreased the hit stun and increased the hit velocity of the standing light attack, implemented win screen, new big portrait, added portraits that are compatible with my MBAA, Nitro Royale, UNL, and Kurisu's MBAC lifebars, new palettes

5-24-10: Initial hit of Miracle is now blockable, revamped Heaven's Wind and reduced its damage, new hyper portrait, new voice clips for intro and win pose, new exit animation for Kanako, adjusted hit stun on basics for better combos, made a failed throw attempt much more punishable, fixed ground dashes, fixed a PalFX problem with 9 Syllable Stabs, star animations added to guard, goddess Shield will now disappear if Suwako is hit during casting instead of Sanae, reduced the invinciblity frames of Moses' Miracle
